Job Specification – Electrical Supervisor
An engineer/electrician is required to assist in the planning, supervision, installation and commissioning of systems and system components. Primary area of activity is supply, installation and commissioning of meters and local and remote metering systems. The job essentially requires electrical installation skills but there are no limits to extending activity to IT networks, software and computers.
Understanding all aspects of electrical installation.
Familiar with single and three phase systems.
Willing to work with water, gas, heat meters.
Desire to understand how “system” fits together.
Ideally supervisor or electrician with experience of running/overseeing projects.
Looking to step up into a supervisory role.
Experience with metering desirable but not essential.
Quoting and surveying experience.
Knowledge of communication networks and networking.
Computer literate with willingness to learn meter and logger programming.
Produce drawings reports and technical documents.
Ability to manage clients and contractors.
Assist sales team.
Fully qualified electrician to 18th Edition.
First aid trained.
SSSTS desirable but not essential.
Test and inspect desirable but not essential.
Own vehicle and basic tools.
Shared company van for work use.
Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision and management.
Good time management is essential.
Willingness to travel and stay away if required.
Basic 40 hour week with possibility of overtime on a time in lieu basis.
A level of overtime is expected.
20 days leave per year
Early January start.
